This is the first review of somebody else's product I've done on this blog. I may do a few more, to talk about apps I like. (Honestly there aren't that many apps that I do like, so that wouldn't be a particularly demanding task.) I don't have any connection to whoever produced Tweetie; I'm just acknowledging good design here.

Quick Review: Tweetie
Tweetie: At last, an iPhone Twitter client that works like an iPhone app should work. Tweetie's design is almost perfect: simple and obvious in operation, not over-complicated, yet full-featured. This is the kind of app that a user might think would be simple to produce, but anyone who works on apps can tell you it's not so: a thousand design decisions have to be made correctly and implemented well. "Tweetie" is the Twitter client that Apple itself would have made; or maybe a bit better than that. I've deleted "Twitteriffic" and my home page link to the Twitter web page. For a Twitter client on the iPhone, I'm pretty sure this is the one, folks.
