Moonlight Mahjong Version 1.2.1

Moonlight Mahjong version 1.2.1 is now up on the App Store. This update features two new tilesets, "English Alphabet" and "Flags of Nations." It also adds realtime OpenGL lighting, for improved realism on most of the tilesets.

The screenshots should be updated on the App Store soon, but here are the new ones:

A big shout-out goes to Wikipedia, where most of the public-domain flag artwork came from, and which also told me which 36 nations have the largest populations. It did take some time to figure out how to present the flags well in tile set form, though, so Wikipedia doesn't get all the credit.

Here are a couple close-ups of the newly revised standard tile set, with lighting:

One somewhat subtle change is that other-player boards in multiplayer puzzle mode (including Robo-Player) are rendered better in this version. You'd probably have to be a perfectionist for it to bother you, but the geometry of those boards was slightly strange in 1.2. Fortunately, no longer.

As always, this is a free update, so go get it.
